Altar Guild and Flower Guild

Altar Guild
The mission of the Altar Guild is to prepare for the community worship experience. We "set the table" with the bread and the wine for our worship services as well as decorate the table for our communal family. We prepare for all of the services which take place in the life of the Church - from celebrating the seasons of the Church - Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost - to celebrating the transitions of our parishioners lives such as baptisms, confirmations, ordinations, weddings and burials . Altar Guild is an excellent way to participate in these events. Duties may include all or some of the following - pouring wine, dishwashing, linen laundering, silver and brass polishing, changing of linens, replacing candles, arranging flowers. Altar Guild is an excellent way to meet other members of the Church. We have four teams. Each team serves a tour of two weeks on, six weeks off. Typically the team meets on Saturday mornings for one hour to set up for Sunday, and then to serve for one of the Sunday morning services. Also you will be requested to participate in cleaning and decorating at Christmas and Easter.

Flower Guild
The mission of the Flower Guild is to participate with the Altar Guild in the decoration of the Church for Special Occasions in the Church Life - such as Christmas and Holy Week. If you have an interest in Flower Arrangements please join us. Love of flowers and desire to participate with others in beautifying the sanctuary are the only requirements.
