We are delighted
to have you join our family and hope to make the experience
rewarding for both you and your child.
Goals and Objectives
GSL/PDO is an outreach
ministry of Grace St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Our staff
is committed to serving parents and their children by providing:
*A stimulating program that
offers each child a fun learning experience
*Experiences that encourage
each child to develop socially, physically, and emotionally with oter children their own age
*A positive opportunity for
the child to have contact with another significant Adult.
Class Structure
Baby Room:
3-12 months
Toddler I: 1-2 yrs (must be independent walker)
Toddler II: 2-3 yrs.
Transition: 3-4 yrs.
Big Kids: 4-5 yrsChildren must be beginning
age by June 1st of each fall session
Openings and Closings
PDO is opened
Mon.-Fri. 8:30-2:30.
Early drop off and late pick up will incur a fee added to
your monthly tuitionBy law children may attend
a maximum of 2 days per week There are 2 sessions per year:
Fall (Sept.-May)
Summer (June-August)
Closings
GSL/PDO is closed
for all major holidays, Christmas break, Spring break and
weather related closings will follow the calendar of GSL
School.All closings will be posted
on the monthly calendar which is posted on the 14th of every
month.
Fees
There is a $75.00
non-refundable registration fee per child, $95.00 per family
with 2 children or more. Monthly Tuition per child
attending 2 days per week:
$180.00 (3 mon-1yr)
$160.00 (1-4yrs)Fees are due at the 1st of
each month Accounts that accumulate over 10 days will incur
a late fee.Drop in fees are $35.00 per
day and are subject to space availability
Daily Activities
All children are
served a snack and have rest time. The program includes
free play with toys, books, puzzles, blocks and other developmental
activities such as art, music, and movement.
Supplies
Parents provide:
*a drink
*disposable diapers
*a change of clothes
*a child size sheet
*a blanket
*a lovey, or passy, or whatever your child might need for
comfortPlease be sure to label everything
you bring from home with your child's name
Health
A child may not
attend GSL/PDO if he/she has experienced any of the following
symptoms in the past 24 hours:
vomiting
diarrhea
fever
sore throat
severe cough
rash
Neither the Director nor the
staff can administer any kind of medication.Please report any communicable
disease to the director immediately (chicken pox, strep
throat, head lice)
GSL/PDO will send home any child, who
displays any of the above symptoms
Sign in
/ Sign out
Find your child's
name printed on the sign in (located on the desk in the
PDO lobby) and indicate time in and outPlease inform the director
and your child's teacher if someone else is picking up your
child. That person must present the program with adequate
identification.
We will not send your child home with someone unfamiliar
unless the above procedure is followed.
Visitation
Parents are
welcome to visit GSL/PDO anytime. Please feel free to drop
in and get a tour of our program, or call for a specific
appointment.
